Don't fight your thoughts
You know when you've set yourself up well, you're feeling good, you take the club back and at the very top of your backswing a little voice says something helpful like 'You're going to mess this up'?
Rather than letting this lead to a mishit shot, start to see the voice differently.
The best way to deal with that is to allow the voice to be there. Fighting against your thoughts gives them more power.
Ketchup and ice cream?
Ignore negative thoughts / voices (whether they are yours or someone elses!) - see them like ketchup being in the kitchen when you are about to have ice cream - you don't have to try to get it out of the kitchen - it's ok for it to be there, you just don't have to use it!
Simple, but powerful - and not just on the golf course.
